What experiences were you able to gain in biotechnology during your undergraduate years at Brown?

I began doing research in Prof. Edith Mathiowitz's lab in the Spring of 2003 and then continued my research for my honors thesis.

What advice do you have for undergraduates seeking summer positions?

Don't stress too much about getting experience in the summer.  It's great if you get the chance, but otherwise make the best of your time.  Travel and have fun!  Ben & Jerry's is always highering!

What are your plans for next year?

I'm staying at Brown in the BME Ph.D. program.

What resources did you use to find job opportunities?

Use every connection you may have.  The biotechnology career fair held in the spring can be a good place to network and hook up with employers looking for new graduates.
