Before my current position, I was an HR Generalist

What are your favorite aspects of you job?  What are the drawbacks?

The favorite aspects of my job revolve around seeing a person I have recruited get hired!  The drawbacks are reports, etc.

What advice do you have for someone who is thinking about pursuing a career in your area?

I would advise that to be a true human resources professional, you need to have good communication skills, be a problem-solver, have high confidentiality, and truly want to help others succeed.

What do you look for in a potential job candidate/ what qualities are most important for someone in your field?

I look for someone who has a keen sense of "the human condition" and is an "open minded thinker."  Best qualities are resourcefulness, strong verbal and written communication skills, and a willingness to "do the right thing."
