Gynecologic Factors

Early age menstruation and late age at menopause both tend to increase the risk of breast cancer. Researchers are still investigating the reason for this. Having a first pregnancy at a late age also increases the risk of breast cancer. It is thought that having children early in life may cause breast cells to become more differentiated and this restricts the ability of a cell to grow abnormally.
