Three Colour Dimensions

Three Colour Dimensions

Brightness (value): the perceived intensity of light, from dark to bright
Hue (chroma): the quality which distinguishes one colour from another, for example, from red to violet
Saturation: the characterization of colour as being pale to vivid
Together, these three factors contribute to the perception of colour.
