Pulmonary embolus and infarct

The embolus appears laminated indicating that it has travelled, i.e. it is not of local origin and

is not a primary thrombi.  Necrotic alveoli are seen in the infarcted region.  Moreover, hemorrhage

is present in alveolar spaces secondary to many collateral circulation found in the area.
