Cytomegalovirus (stomach)

 

 

Gastric mucosa is infected by cytomegalovirus. Gastric epithelial cells exhibit cytomegaly,

typical nuclear eosinophilic inclusions surrounded by a halo and cytoplasmic basophilic inclusions.
