Lipomatous hypertrophy of the atrial septum

 

 

To be distinguished from a lipoma, a benign tumor of the heart, is this non-neoplastic lesion caused

by hyperplastic fat in continuity with epicardial fat. The lesion can be associated with arrhythmias.
