Leiomyoma
Grossly, this tumor is round and discrete and consists of whorled bundles of smooth muscle cells. Microscopically, smooth
muscle cells. Areas of hemorrhage or calcification are not uncommon. This lesion is commonly referred to as a “fibroid”.
