Cholangiocarcinoma

 

 

High and low magnification photos from a case of intrahepatic cholangiocarcinoma are shown. Residual hepatic

parenchyma is seen in the lower right corner of the low magnification photo. These tumors may arise within the

liver or in the extrahepatic biliary tract. As in this case, they are usually highly desmoplastic. Bile-staining is usually absent.
