Right ventricular outflow tract
The septal band (SB) forks into inferior and superior limbs at the asterisk. The parietal band (PB), also
known as the crista supraventricularis, inserts into the fork. If the parietal band is anteriorly malaligned,
a conoventricular septal defect and RVOT obstruction result. This is the basis for tetralogy of Fallot.
