Schistosomiasis

 

Circumoval granuloma in the lung. Though schistosomes pass through the lungs after entry into the host, the pathology demonstrated here occurs only after shunting of eggs through portal-systemic collateral veins in patients with hepaticosplenic schistosomiasis.
