RI Mill Building Revitalization Program
The Rhode Island Economic Development Corporation developed the Mill Building Revitalization Act, that certifies buildings in participating cities (Bristol, Burrillville, North Providence, North Smithfield, Pawtucket, Providence, Warren, West Warwick and Woonsocket) for development incentives. Owners of these properties, businesses located on these properties, and lenders who make loans to these businesses, all receive tax advantages for developing the properties. The number of buildings eligible in each city is determined by population size. Providence currently has six eligible buildings.
