Walker & Gillette: Overview
Alexander Stewart Walker (1906-1945) and Leon Narcisse Gillette (1878-1945) partnered in the early part of the twentieth century to form the successful architectural firm of Walker and Gillette. The firm, known for its sophisticated design sense, was commissioned to do many townhouses and country estates as well as buildings. Both Walker and Gillette produces many designs for a number of residential, commercial, and institutional commissions. In 1928 the firm was commissioned to do the Industrial Trust Building in Providence , one of their most grand achievements. |
