Research Experience for TEACHERS Program
Eligibility Requirements
Applicants must be a certified or a pre-service teacher
with access to GK-12 students in a classroom setting.
We will work primarily with science teachers,
however, teachers in fields such as art, economics, and math will
be considered through a team teaching approach, to encourage students to
consider issues of engineering design, business, as well as the
mathematical framework that underpins so many of the principles of
engineering science.
The Summer 2008 Program will begin on Monday, June 30, 2008 and continue, Monday - Friday until Friday, August 8, 2008. First year participants will receive a stipend of $750. for a 35 hour week. Those teacher participants who are invited back for a second summer will receive a stipend of $1,000. per week of the 35 hour week. Each participant must be available for the entire six week program.
