Upcoming Program PROGRAM DATES: JUNE 2, 2008 – AUGUST 8, 2008 The MRSEC REU program offers college students the opportunity to perform research for 10 weeks under the guidance of a faculty member, as well as a graduate student or post-doc. During the summer program, REU students will broaden their knowledge of research as well as gain professional skills to guide his/her future. The program is run through The Center for Advanced Materials Research (CAMR) at Brown. CAMR is an independent academic unit whose goal is to coordinate and facilitate research and education in materials sciences across the campus, as well as foster inter-institutional scholarship and study of modern materials by advanced experimental and theoretical tools. The 2008 REU Summer Program is open to both Brown and Non-Brown undergraduate students. Non-Brown undergraduates can apply directly to the MRSEC program by completing the 2008 Application found in linking to the "Apply" section below. Brown students MUST apply to the MRSEC/REU Program through the Brown UTRA program at http://www.brown.edu/Administration/Dean_of_the_College/utra/ Make sure to mark CAMR/MRSEC as the department you are applying to work with on the UTRA Application.
