The Center for Advanced Materials Research fosters inter-disciplinary, multi-investigator research and education. Through OUTREACH we intend to improve education in science and engineering at all levels and to increase the number of women and underrepresented minorities in science and engineering.

CAMR block grants support a wide range of outreach programs. The synergy within the research teams and the participating institutions is further fueled by the link to U.S. industry and government laboratories. The partnerships shared in our block research groups, such as sharing of institutional facilities, joint graduate student projects, and interaction with industrial affiliates promotes the opportunity for important advances.

REU: Research Experience for Undergraduates Program.

CM: Classroom Module Program

EYF: Empowering Your Future Program

RET: Research Experience for TEACHERS Program

FER: Facilitating Effective Research Program

TT: Teacher Training Program

Our focus to enhance K-12 education in science and math to ensure the future scientist/engineer is exposed very early in their education to problems in which math, science, economics and the arts are integrated into the solution, to the idea of product development, and the importance of teamwork in achieving these goals.
