Ncweng and White Bank

The Ncweng primary school sits at the base of a former asbestos dump (above left). Asbestos on the slope is clearly visible to the eye (above right) and frequently blows across the school yard and into the village. Meanwhile, at the nearby White Bank asbestos mine (left) graves testify to the dangers of living and working near the asbestos mining industry (below).
