Research Interest

My focus is on the anthropology of medicine, health, science, and technology, and the production of knowledge. My field experience has been primarily in Egypt , where I have pursued Muslim ethical responses to bio-technological dilemmas. My current research is focused on the organ transplant debate in Egyptian life.
