Lewis P. Lipsitt
Professor Emeritus of Psychology, Medical Science, and Human Development
Research Focus:
Infant sensory and learning processes, long-term development, autism, and crib death
As an emeritus faculty member, I also hold an appointment as Research Professor of Psychology.
Much of my present research capitalizes on a long-term longitudinal sample we first studied when they were newborns, in the period 1959-1966.
With Jack Demick, I currently direct a seminar on coping, development, and resilience, from which we anticipate editing a volume based on the work of 15 or so participants.
