Healthy Habits
The Healthy Habits Clinic is a family-based program that helps families
with children 2 to 10 years of age who have concerns about their child’s health, emotional
well being and behavior. As part of the Behavior and Development Clinic, the program specializes
in evaluation and treatment of children who present with behavioral disorders around eating and weight
management. We use a multi-faceted, comprehensive approach that includes consultation to other service
providers such as pediatricians, nutritionists, schools and child care centers. We focus on building
healthy parent-child and family relationships and helping parents develop effective strategies for
addressing concerns related to their child’s level of physical activity and eating habits. We address
concerns such as anxiety or distress related to weight, physical activity and eating issues, and
the impact these issues have on family and peer relationships.
