Cultures and Religions of the Ancient Mediterranean Colloquium (CRAM): An informal interdisciplinary group of faculty and students from many departments and programs. CRAM meets monthly to discuss a precirculated work-in-progress paper.

Mellon Ancient Studies Workshop: This Mellon workshop brings together graduate students from the Departments of Classics, Comparative Literature, Egyptology, History of Mathematics, and Religious Studies who are conducting dissertation research related to the ancient world.

The Brown Bag Series (Thursdays 12-1 PM; Rhode Island Hall 108) is intended to stimulate the sharing and discussion of current work in archaeology undertaken by graduate students and faculty at Brown University and nearby institutions. Speakers give presentations on their current archaeological interests or research and take questions from the audience in an informal setting. The development and maturation of ideas is the goal, and anyone interested in archaeology is invited to attend. Lunch will be provided, so please come, eat, and enjoy the experience!

The Medieval and Early Modern History Seminar: This seminar serves as a forum for the discussion of articles, works in progress, dissertation chapters and presentations by a mix of Brown History graduate students, faculty, and visiting scholars. For now, we are defining medieval and early modern as broadly as possible, and we invite and encourage all who work within this chronological scope to participate.
