Classics DUG - Events Calendar

February 22, 2006: The Classics DUG invites you to a Convivium (Reception) on Wednesday, February 22, from 3 PM to 5 PM in Mainelli Garden. We're going to shake things up a bit this time and invite the grad students to join us. As always, there will be free food and beverages.

December 5, 2005 7 PM The Classics DUG invites you to the annual Latin Carol Celebration and a DUG reception with free desserts and hot drinks at 7PM in the basement of the First Baptist Meeting House (75 North Main Street). Then, we will head upstairs for the main event--the Carol Celebration itself is a unique Brown tradition, and includes speeches, readings, and songs in Latin and Greek. It is also very well-attended, and should be a great chance to take a break from studying and catch up with other Classics students.

November 30, 2005, 5:35 PM in the Seminar Room at 48 College Street. Professor David Konstan will present "Do Animals Have Emotions?"

September 25, 2005, 8PM in Smith-Buonnano 101:  The first Classics DUG meeting of the semester.  We will eat pizza, discuss future events, and watch a movie.  All are welcome!

December 6, 2004: DUG reception before the Latin Carol Celebration, 6:30-7:45 in the basement of the Meeting House.  Holiday treats, hot chocolate, and hot cider will be served.

October 1, 2004: The first informational meeting was held on September 22, 2004 in the Lower Blue Room. Students completed surveys about DUG activities that would interest them. The most popular activity option was a mixer with the faculty, so the first event will be a department reception.
