Fitt Endowment grants are offered in the Fall semester only, for residencies to take place during the following academic year.

Through support from the Lawton Wehle Fitt ’74 Endowment for Artists-in-Residence, distinguished artists from fields such as creative writing, dance, digital media, film, fine art, music, theatre, and visual art are invited to come to Brown University for a period of residence from 1 week to one semester. Selection criteria includes reputation, interest in working with students, and impact on program/curriculum.
