Dr. McCarten graduated from the Medical College of Pennsylvania and then completed a residency in diagnostic radiology at St. Joseph's Mercy Hospital in Ann Arbor, Michigan. She then went on to complete a fellowship in Pediatric Radiology at Children's Hospital in Boston. Dr. McCarten's special interests are in Pediatric Radiology in which she has a Certificate of Added Qualification. She is Associate Professor of Diagnostic Imaging and Pediatrics (clinical) at the Warren Alpert Medical School of Brown University.
