Assessment of MR Diffusion Tensor Imaging for distinguising Parkinson's Disease from Other Atypical Parkinsonian Syndromes

Description:  To determine whether there are statistically significant differences in the fractional anisotropy (and other diffusion tensor imaging perameters) in key white matter tracts and deep gray structures between patients with Parkinson's disease and atypical parkinsonian sundromes, such as progressive supranuclear palsy, and multiple system atrophy.

Comparison study with corresponding blinded image evaluation following a single-intravenous injection of three different doses of Gadobutrol 1.0 molar in patients with known or highly suspected focal blood.
