Murphy, M.D. RETURN TO STAFF INDEX Undergraduate: Boston University Medical School: Boston University Residency: Diagnostic Imaging, Rhode Island Hospital, Brown University Fellowship: Vascular and Interventional Radiology, RIH, Brown University Having completed his residency and Interventional Radiology fellowship at the Rhode Island Hospital, Dr. Murphy now serves as an Associate Professor in Diagnostic Radiology, and is Director of the Section of Vascular and Interventional Radiology. While maintaining a busy clinical schedule, Dr. Murphy remains an active investigator with over three dozen original papers, book chapters, and abstracts to his credit. Dr. Murphy is the recipient of several research grants including the Society of Cardiovascular and Interventional Radiology's Cardiovascular and Interventional Radiology Research & Education Fund (CIRREF) grant studying outcomes of endovascular stent placement for intermittent claudication.
