January 1 is the deadline for receiving applications, transcripts, Graduate Record Examination (GRE) scores, and letters of recommendation. Funding cannot be guaranteed to successful applicants whose material arrives after the deadline. Prospective students are invited to address specific questions to the Director of Graduate Studies, or to write directly to faculty members whose work they find to be of particular interest.
