Research interests:
Evolutionary and ecological determinants of reproductive behavior
in damselflies and dragonflies (Odonata). - Comparative
and manipulative field studies of the adaptive patterns of pair-forming,
territorial, mating and postcopulatory behavior.
Examination of the origins and consequences of asymmetric influence
over reproduction by females. This includes a re-examination of
sexual selection theory based on the perspective of female control
over reproduction. - What are the resultant shifts in standard behavioral
ecology paradigms?
