The partnership agreement includes:

Providence Public Schools Central Office Initiative

• The University and the Providence School District are leveraging the partnership to secure funding that will support a variety of teaching and learning projects.
• Brown Education Department faculty and students are providing research support to Providence Superintendent Donnie Evans, who is committed to using education research to inform district-wide policy and programming decisions.
• Brown will work with the School District to examine and implement diversity professional development for Providence teachers.

Hope High School Initiative

• Brown is collaborating with Hope High School on math and science education.
• Through the Swearer Center, Brown students are collaborating with Hope guidance counselors to provide students with information, preparation, and support in applying to college.
• Brown is working with Hope to offer out-of-school learning opportunities to Hope students.
