Registration Guidelines for Fall 2007
Nonfiction Writing Program Courses
(ENGL0110, 0130, 0160, 0180, 1140, 1160, and 1180)


Registration for all sections of Nonfiction Writing Program courses will be taken on a first-come, first-served basis according to the Banner seniority system. No waiting lists will be kept.

The registration procedure for these courses will be as follows:

ENGL0110, 0130, 0180: Sections will be capped at the enrollment limit. All preregistered students must attend the first week of classes or they may lose their spaces. Students may register during the Fall add/drop period (Sept. 5-18) if openings become available in any sections.

ENGL0160 (Journalistic Writing), ENGL1140 (Advanced Critical and Argumentative Writing), ENGL1160 (Special Topics in Journalism), and ENGL1180 (Creative Nonfiction): Preregistrations will be capped at 20 or 25 per section on a first-come, first-served basis according to the Banner seniority system. Class lists will be reduced to approved course limits (12 or 17) after writing samples are reviewed during the first week of classes. Preference will be given to English concentrators.
