Invitation to all CES Alumnae
11th Annual Alumnae Cocktail Party
Friday, May 22nd from 7:00 to 9:00pm
Urban Environmental Lab
This year we will be hosting the 11th annual alum cocktail party for you and your guests on Friday evening before Campus Dance (May 22). I hope that many of you will come and join us. Please come and meet old and new friends. Hear about our adventures, tell us what’s new with you and reminisce about old times. We will, of course, have our usual table at Campus Dance so that all of you, as well as our graduates, friends and families will have a place to meet, rest and feast.
If you are planning to come to the cocktail party, please respond to Patti Caton at
Patti_Caton@brown.edu.
Hope to see you there.

Ray Anderson
“Sustainability in Corporate America”
Thursday, May 21st from 5:30 to 7:00pm

Ray Anderson, Interface Carpets Chairman, transformed his company through a vision of sustainability. He set a goal in 1994 to eliminate his company's ecological footprint by 2020. And he found that "sustainability does not cost, it pays" in customer loyalty, employee morale and dollars.
Since 1995 his company has increased sales by nearly 50% while:
* Saving more than $336 million through sustainability efforts
* Cutting fossil fuels use by 45%
* Cutting worldwide contribution to landfills by 80%
He will be speaking about his own experiences in turning his own company around and how business must be a leader in turning the world's environmental problems around. To learn more about Ray Anderson, visit:
