La Maison Française
Living in French House is an exciting way to participate in a language and culture-oriented environment. We are located at 87 Prospect Street, in the Machado House building, along with the Spanish House. Eighteen singles and five spacious doubles are reserved for French House in this co-ed dormitory. The Language House Coordinator, Pauline DeTholozany, chosen from among current graduate students in the French Studies department, encourages interaction amongst house members and helps them to sponsor parties, activities and special events centered around the French-speaking world.
The location for French House, across from the Department of French Studies, helps to insure collaboration between the house and the department. Together, these two special houses on the hill provide a dynamic center of activity for academic and social needs related to French and Francophone cultures.
