Eric Foster

Before coming to Brown, Eric studied Germanics at the University of Washington, where he obtained his B.A. in 2005. Shortly thereafter, he took time off from German literature to focus on Linguistics with an emphasis on the philosophy of language at Western Washington University, completing his B.A. in 2007.  From 2007 to 2009, Eric was a Graduate Teaching Assistant at the University of New Mexico, where he obtained his M.A. in German Studies in 2009. His research interests include 18th-century German literature and philosophy, moral philosphy, and critical theory.
