Providence, Rhode Island

See the links at the right of this page.

Autumn is foliage season in New England, with peak foliage occurring sometime in middle to late October, with lots a year-to-year variation. The more you travel a bit north or west, the more intense the displays.

Providence located at the head of Narragansett Bay, so there is a lot of water-relevant activity (boating, water views, good seafood, etc.). Shellfish in particular is a prominent result of our ocan proximity in Rhode Island.

Weather in October in Providence is an average high of 63 degrees (F) and low of 43 degrees (F), although there can be large variability.

Providence has had an explosion of good restaurants in the past several years, so there are many interesting dining chioces near the Brown campus, in downtown (near the Marriott Courtyard), on Wickenden Street (near the Radisson Inn), and on North Main Street. Look for a list in the near future.
