However, it is (as told in the story) a friendly creature. Therefore, it signifies the supernatural that is helpful to human cause. In the picture, the tuna is not Pinocchio’s equal: it is superior to Pinocchio and carries a noble aura about it. It is almost like a “good dragon” which helps humanity rather than destroy it.
