Janet Minichiello

Janet Minichiello is a first-year graduate student in the Italian Studies Department. She also graduated Phi Beta Kappa and magna cum laude from Brown in December 2007 with an A.B. in Italian Studies, for which she wrote an Honors thesis on the visual representations of the Holocaust in "Life Is Beautiful" and "Maus," and Visual Arts. She spent the last year in Bologna, first as a student at the Università of Bologna and then as an assistant at the Brown in Bologna office. Her main academic interests are the Holocaust in Italy as well as the political use of art under the fascist regime.
