Biographical note

In 2002, Carla Gubert obtained a research doctorate in at the University of Trent (thesis: "Narrativity and Comparative Literature"), as well as a Doctor's Diploma at the University of Lille, France (thesis: "Art Prose Between the Two Wars"). In 2003, she published a volume titled A world of Cartoons. Birth and Poetics in the Twentieth-Century Art Prose. She curated, as part of her research activities with the Circe Project, the volumes European Literary Journals and Fragments of Europe. Magazines and Translators in the Twentieth Century. Gubert researches women's writing, translation, literary periodicals and comparative literature. Together with Prof. Corrado Donati, in 1998 she founded the Laboratory for Computing Research, centered around European cultural journals. She is responsible for the Circe Project Web site and translation database. Presently Gubert is a research fellow at the University of Trent and co-director of the DVD series "Multimedia Library of Literary Periodicals."
