Our Location

190 Hope Street (corner of Hope St. and Waterman St.), 2nd floor

Take exit 22; follow the signs to Downtown Providence. You should be able to go straight through the construction site at the first intersection. The river will be on your left. At the fourth set of lights, turn left. Go over the bridge. In a block or so, the street will be renamed Waterman. Follow Waterman St. up a very steep hill and through several sets of lights. You will pass Prospect, Brown, Thayer and Brook Streets. After the Brook Street light, the next intersection is of Waterman and Hope Streets. The Italian Studies Department will be on the corner of these, on your right. There is on-street parking both on Waterman (two-hour) and on Hope (three-hour). It is unmetered, but they will ticket you if you overstay the time limit. Our street address is 190 Hope Street, 2nd floor. There are entrances both on Hope St. and on Waterman St.
