You may submit one entry in each category in which you are eligible (categories may limit eligibility and manuscript length; see our website for more details: www.brown.edu/cw). To make multiple entries, you must present a separate submission for each category in which you are eligible. Unless specified, your entry may be a series or single text; it must be typewritten or typeset (computer or letterpress); if the project requires a non-typeset version, a typed/printed version must accompany the variant version of the project. Entries should be bound by a paper clip or a binder clip (please, no staples, or permanent bindings — exception: artbooks that accompany a text-only print-out may be bound in any fashion). Each entry must be provided in duplicate (two copies), and be accompanied by a cover sheet, which you can pick up at the program’s main office, 68 1/2 Brown Street or at www.Brown.edu/cw. Your name must not appear anywhere on your entry. If your name does appear on the entry, it will be disqualified. Entries will not be returned after the competition (with the exception of artbooks). Winning entries will be sent to the University Archives. Manuscripts will be reviewed by judges selected by the Literary Arts faculty. The University reserves the right to withhold any award. The judges’ decisions will be final. Notification will be made around 2 April 2009.
