For your group project, examine a place on campus (classroom, ratty, gym, dorm room, hallway, saferide vans etc.) along the axes of publicity and surveillance. This space does not need to be physical--you can choose a virtual space, such as the brown website, dorm room networks. Your examination can be an intervention / public art project. In this examination or intervention, you need to address the tensions or convergences between publicity and surveillance, although you can choose to concentrate on just one axis. In your paper, you need to explain the stakes of your project and its relationship to at least one reading for class, as well *briefly* explain the division of labor in an appendix. Logistics: Group size: 3 students, of your own choice. If you need help forming a group, contact me. Presentation Dates:
9.30 + 10.1 Papers Due: 10.7
