AUDITIONS SIGN UP SHEETS for Orchestra, Chorus, Chamber Music, Wind Symphony and Applied Music will be posted on the bulletin board in the lobby of the Orwig Music Building (One Young Orchard Avenue at the corner of Hope Street).
Orchestra, Chamber Music & Applied Music Strings (violin, viola, cello, bass, harp, classical guitar)
Audition consists of playing a prepared piece and may also include sight reading and scales.

Jazz Band, Combos & Applied Music Jazz
There will be an important meeting and Jam Session on Thursday, September 6th at 7:30 pm in Fulton Rehearsal Hall for anyone interested in jazz performance (Jazz AMP, Big Band, Combos.). Audition materials will be distributed and audition sign-up sheets will be available only at this meeting. Bring your instrument!

MEME Ensemble
Auditions for the MEME ensemble take place at the first class meeting. Interested students are encouraged to bring any acoustic/electronic instrument or sound-making device they would like to explore. Auditions are centered around the creative use of sound in an improvisational context as well as focused listening.
Applied Music Program (Individual Lessons)
Strings sign up for a Chamber Music audition. Winds, brass, and percussion sign up for a Wind Symphony audition. Jazz performance (incl. keyboard) see listing under Jazz Band above. Vocal instruction sign up for Voice audition (Mon. Sept. 10; Tues. Sept. 11). Piano instruction (not Jazz keyboard) sign up for Keyboard audition (Thurs. Sept. 6; Fri. Sept. 7). Ethnomusicology Performing Ensembles
