Chamber Music

Paul Phillips, director

Chamber music refers to any kind of music composed for small groups of players and intended for a small audience. At Brown students may audition to perform in a chamber music ensemble each semester. These groups, which feature Brown faculty, students and staff, are arranged in consultation with the program director, and usually receive weekly coaching by one of our talented Teaching Associates. The repertory performed runs the gamut from the ancient to the avant garde, realized in some kind of group recital at the end of the semester.
