Course Description
Physicalism is the thesis that reality is entirely physical. We will investigate different definitions for physicalism and evaluate arguments for and against its truth. Special attention will be paid to the concepts of fundamental reality, ontology, reduction, and supervenience. Examples will focus on the metaphysical status of phenomenal, intentional, normative, and mathematical truths.
