Why I chose Brown:
During my fourth year of medical school, I spent one month rotating through the plastic surgery service at Brown. I was immediately enticed by the close-knit feel among the residents and found myself a welcome member of the team. In such a short time, I found many attending and resident role models to aspire to be like and knew that the training at Brown was strong.
Now that I’m here, I have found even more to love. The service is very much resident-run and the voices of the residents matter in patient care. The atmosphere of the team is extremely collegial, with work shared among everyone and emphasis on junior resident teaching. While I’m still new to the city of Providence, I have loved living here so far. The food options are endless and the lovely New England landscapes make for enjoyable escapes from the hospital.
Interests in Plastic Surgery: Still open to everything!
Interests outside of medicine: Travel, dance, classical violin, food, movies
Favorite activity in Providence: Scoping out the restaurants, East Bay bike path, RISD museum, Blackstone Boulevard
