Plastic Surgery Lee E. Edstrom: M.D. at Case-Western Reserve ('69), General and Plastic Surgery at Yale ('75). Dr. Edstrom has been on the faculties of the University of Chicago ('75-'78) and the University of Wisconsin ('78-'82). He has been on the Editorial Boards of Annals of Plastic Surgery and Journal of Reconstructive Microsurgery, the Board of Directors of the Plastic Surgery Educational Foundation, is a past-president of the American Association for Hand Surgery and the New England Society of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgeons, currently President of the New England Hand Society, and is Plastic Surgery Surgeon-in-Chief and Program Director, and Professor of Surgery at Brown University. Dr. Edstrom specializes in Reconstructive and Microvascular Plastic Surgery, and has a busy cosmetic surgery practice as well.

Patrick K. Sullivan: M.D. at Mayo Medical School ('79), Otolaryngology/Head and Neck Surgery at University of Colorado Health Sciences Center ('84), and Plastic Surgery at Brown University ('86). Dr. Sullivan did fellowships with Paul Tessier and Hugo Obwegeser in Europe and has been faculty member on numerous AO/ASIF Maxillofacial Courses. Dr. Sullivan specializes in surgery of the face, and is well known for his research in facial anatomy. He delivered the 2008 Courtiss Memorial Lecture at the Northeast Society Meeting. Dr. Sullivan is also a member of the Plastic Surgery Research Council, the American Association of Plastic Surgeons, a guest examiner for the American Board of Plastic Surgery, and is currently Associate Professor of Plastic Surgery at Brown University. 

Richard J. Zienowicz: M.D. at Brown University ('83), General Surgery at Berkshire Medical Center, Plastic Surgery at Cleveland Clinic ('90), and Hand/Microvascular fellowship at Massachusetts General Hospital ('91). Dr. Zienowicz presently specializes in breast and cosmetic surgery, and is a member of the Plastic Surgery Research Council and the American Association of Plastic Surgeons. He is an organizer of the Italian-American Plastic Surgery Congress, recent past-president of the New England Society of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgeons, and currently chairman of the program committee in the Northeast Society of Plastic Surgeons. He is a guest examiner for the American Board of Plastic Surgery, and is currently an Associate Professor of Plastic Surgery at Brown University.

Albert K. Oh: M.D. at Loma Linda University ('98), General Surgery at UC Davis ('03), and Plastic Surgery at UC Davis ('05). Dr. Oh did a Craniofacial fellowship at Children's Hospital, Harvard Medical School ('06), and joined our faculty in the summer of 2006, and has been named Director of the Brown/Rhode Island Hospital Cleft and Craniofacial Center. He has been busy working on elevating our craniofacial/cleft lip and palate clinic to true "Center" status, and developing an active research program, involving all the residents.

James Weintrub: M.D. at Cincinnati ('74), General Surgery at Boston University ('82), Plastic Surgery at McGill ('84), Fellowship in Cancer Reconstruction at MD Anderson ('86). Dr. Weintrub is currently Clinical Assistant Professor of Surgery at Brown University and Chief of Plastic Surgery at the Providence VA Hospital.

David T. Barrall: M.D. at Brown ('79), General and Plastic Surgery at Brown University ('87), Hand and Microvascular Fellowship at Brigham and Women's Hospital ('88). Dr. Barrall is Clinical Assistant Professor of Surgery at Brown University and Chief of plastic surgery at The Miriam Hospital.

Jack R. Bevivino: D.D.S. at Georgetown ('72) and M.D. at Georgetown ('76); General and Plastic Surgery at Rhode Island Hospital ('81), Craniofacial Fellowship with Linton Whittaker at University of Pennsylvania ('82).

Lawrence P. Bowen: M.D. at Tufts ('71), General Surgery at Dartmouth ('76), Plastic Surgery at Rhode Island Hospital ('78). He is an organizer of the Italian-American Plastic Surgery Congress and a past-president of the New England Society of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery. Dr. Bowen is currently Clinical Assistant Professor of Surgery at Brown University and Assistant Chief of the Department.

Scott Schmidt: M.D. at University of Connecticut ('00), Coordinated Residency in Plastic Surgery at Rhode Island Hospital ('06), Hand Fellowship with Kirk Watson in Hartford ('07). Dr. Schmidt takes his boards in November and is providing a major service in clinical teaching. He will be running the microvascular training lab also.
