Why I chose Brown
I spent a month here as an away rotator, and what immediately stuck out for me while I was making my rank list were the people. The residents are close, fun-loving and motivated and the faculty are extremely talented yet approachable. This, combined with a high volume of cases that covers all areas of plastic surgery, fosters a great environment for training.
Interests in plastic surgery
I’m still very much undecided but I am particularly interested in general reconstruction, craniofacial reconstruction and hand surgery.
Interests outside of medicine
Travel, food, live music, exercise, soccer, Kentucky Basketball, and Kentucky Bourbon.
Favorite activities in Providence
The proximity to such a broad array of activities is hard to beat. Numerous beaches, Newport, the ferry to Block Island, and Boston are all within a short drive of Providence. I’m looking forward to exploring some of the New England skiing and hiking areas as fall and winter roll around.
