Programs

In addition to supporting the activities of the Janus Forum, the Political Theory Project supports other programming to further its mission. In 2009, the PTP launched the Odyssey Lecture Series. Odyssey Lectures feature a single speaker who will take students on an extended adventure over some new and unexpected intellectual terrain. The inaugural lecture featured Amity Shlaes whose book The Forgotten Man: A New History of the Great Depression offered an alternative view to the costs and consequences of the Great Depression and the New Deal.

The Project also supports an interdisciplinary working group. The PTP Working Group brings together faculty, postdocs, and grad students in a range of disciplines to discuss a pre-assigned reading.
