International Association of Teachers of Czech (IATC-NAATC)

(Formally the North American Association of Teachers of Czech)

Prof. Fidler was one of the former Presidents and Executive Officers for thie organization.

This international organization draws membership not only in the USA, but also in Europe and Asia. It's newsletter The Czech Language News is a contact point for scholars and teachers involved in Czech language and culture.

IATC has also received grants from the Czech Ministry of Foreign Affairs to publish two book-length special issues of Czech Language News dealing with Czech language, literature, and culture. They were published as part of the Brown Slavic Contributions XI (ed. Levitsky and Ueda) and XIII (ed. Fidler and Levitsky).
