Our Faculty

The sociology faculty at Brown combines excellence in teaching with state-of-the-art research. We employ a wealth of techniques, including ethnography and other qualitative methods, comparative-historical methods, and a broad range of statistical and demographic methods and techniques. The faculty’s interests span a wide variety of topics as well as geographic regions. In a world of increasing globalization and interdependence, the sociology faculty is fully committed to sharing its expertise with students, making sure that students can widen their career options upon graduation.
