Job Description:
The Department of Sociology and Urban Studies Program at Brown University are seeking a tenure-track Assistant Professor in the area
of urban sociology. Applicants must have completed the requirements
for the Ph.D. prior to the time of hiring and provide evidence of
potential excellence in research, teaching, and professional service.
The successful applicant will hold a joint appointment and equal
teaching and administrative responsibilities in Urban Studies and
Sociology. Applications should include (1) a cover letter describing
research completed and planned, (2) a curriculum vitae, (3) a writing
sample, (4) a teaching statement, and (5) three letters of
recommendation.
